This month, was a crazy month for books. Not only were there quite a few eye-catching new releases I desperately wanted, and despite refraining myself from buying them all, I still somehow managed to haul over THIRTY BOOKS.
Holy crap. I haven't hauled that many books in a while! I can see you narrowing your eyes at me but let me tell you, majority of these books are from events and publishers so my book buying has been pretty good! I won quite a few giveaways this month that surprised me to the extent I almost fell off my bed. So, let's get on with the haul!
BOOKS FROM PUBLISHERS FOR REVIEW
BETTER LEFT BURIED by Emma Haughton (Usborne)
SEED by Lisa Heathfield (Egmont)
SKIN by Ilka Tampke (Hodder)
BOOKS VIA NETGALLEY

THE MEMORY HIT by Carla Spradbery (Hodder)
THE STARS NEVER RISE by Rachel Vincent (Mira Ink)
PHOENIX RISING by Bryony Pearce (Stripes Books)

So I may have gone a little crazy on NetGalley... But in a way, I'm quite happy because I think I'm finally warming up to the idea of reading eBooks! Thank you to all the publishers for all these wonderful titles!
BOOKS I WON FROM GIVEAWAYS
This month has been full of surprises! I won some fantastic titles, some of which by now I have already read!

ONE by Sarah Crossan (SQUEAL. I LOVED THIS ONE. Proof won from Author.)
13 DAYS OF MIDNIGHT by Leo Hunt (Books With Bite)

Thank you hosts of the giveaways! It really made my month to win all these gorgeous books and by the way, you NEED to check out some of these if you haven't already!
I was also kindly gifted a beautiful hardback of what is now possibly my FAVOURITE fantasy book ever, A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC by V.E. Schwab!
Also in April, I was invited by the wonderful and lovely people at Hot Key Books to attend their Hot Key Blogger's Brunch 2015 where they showcased and presented to us, the upcoming titles they are going to publish during the year! This was most exciting because it was my first ever blogger's event since I became a book blogger! And to have my first experience with Hot Key was amazing! My write up of the event is coming so I'll talk more in detail about the event in that post but for now, here's the books I came home with!
We were given a few proofs as well as given the opportunity to snap up some of their previous titles that took our fancy and it was SO HARD to restrain myself from taking everything! It was a fantastic event and I really really enjoyed myself! I also got a few books from lovely bloggers Debbie at Snuggling on the Sofa and Andrew at The Pewter Wolf - thanks guys!
(Click on the titles for their Goodreads pages)

BOOKS I BOUGHT
I did pretty well this month and only bought books I knew I was going to read very soon, except for the multiple copy of Trouble... I was feeling down so I ended up buying another copy because it's one of my favourite books that made me smile! I also went to the #ImaginedLondons event at Waterstones Piccadilly featuring fabulous authors Victoria 'V.E.' Schwab and Deborah Harkness, chaired by the lovely Sarah Pinborough!
Eeep, guys I got to meet THE Victoria Schwab - finally! We had a great chat and I was taken by surprise when she knew who I was before I got to introduce myself! (Thanks to Twitter!) It was such a wonderful event, one of the best I've ever been to! So of course, being at a bookshop meant I would end up buying books. I ONLY BOUGHT ONE OKAY. And it was the YA Bookprize winner Only Ever Yours by Louise O'Neill, which I've now read and LOVED!
THE SHATTERED COURT by M.J. Scott
TROUBLE by Non Pratt
ONLY EVER YOURS by Louise O'Neill
THE GAME OF LOVE AND DEATH by Martha Brockenbrough (LOVED THIS ONE. READ IT. READ IT NOW.)
THE BOOK OF IVY by Amy Engel
So that was my GINORMOUS April book haul! I have a lot of reading to do... Hopefully my future book hauls won't include so many titles.
Thanks to publishers, giveaway hosts, NetGalley and bloggers who have given me books this month! I am super thankful and cannot wait to read them all!
What books did you get this month?
Any on my list catch your eye?
Feel free to let me know in the comments, I'd love to know!
